News, reports and industry information
So far July has been a busy month for Trinity and during the first week we were exhibiting at the Meetings Show with venuefinder.com. Jacqui was involved in two conference sessions, one entitled ‘Negotiations – a guide to success’, which started with training on negotiation skills as we are coming out of the recession. This was followed by a panel discussion with agents and venues to understand what changes they have made in their approach and give the audience an insight into their priorities. The second session was ‘Women, Leadership and the Glass Ceiling’ and discussed the leadership styles of women and the challenges that they have to overcome in the meetings industry.
Stamford-based venue finding and event management agency, Trinity Event Solutions has launched a new industry initiative called Meetings Voice. The aim of Meetings Voice is to create a professional, collaborative and forward thinking environment where event organisers can interact by sharing experiences, learning and identifying best practice.
Trinity has reached the finals of The Conference Awards 2014, for the Best Managed Event.
Following the success of the Trinity Triple Challenge, which raised £20,576 for three local charities last year, Trinity is planning to take up the mission again in 2014 and extend it by including overseas venues. The Triple Challenge is an integral part of Trinity’s CSR values called ‘It’s not what you give it’s how you live’.
Jacqui Kavanagh, Managing Director of Trinity Event Solutions has been elected to the position of Vice Chair for the 2014 membership year. An active member of the HBAA since its inception in 1997, Jacqui will continue to help the association raise its profile within the industry with the aim of increasing membership and will be responsible for driving best practice and innovation within the association.
At our annual conference all the staff at Trinity Event Solutions voted to select the charities we are going to support this year. The three chosen are:
Trinity Event Solutions has been named winner of the Contribution to the Community Award and runner-up in the People Development Award at the Peterborough Telegraph Business Awards.
Tory Griffiths, winner of the “Get Ready for Bed with Marriott” promotion which took place during September.
On Friday, 9th August, Stamford-based venue finding and event management company, Trinity Event Solutions celebrated the end of its Triple Challenge which raised £20,840 for charity. The Trinity team visited 524 hotels and conference venues over one weekend in March 2013, many of which donated prizes for an online auction. A total of 262 people registered on the Trinity Triple Challenge auction website and placed 2,280 bids for 417 auction lots.
With your help we have raised an amazing £20,840.00 in our charity auction! This couldn't have been possible without the support and will make such a difference to the Charities in many ways. Trinity would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person involved in the auction, including the hotels and venues, the local and industry press, the charities, but most importantly YOU for supporting the challenge and placing those bids.
